If you want a good example of what acting might do to a person, especially the kind of actor who loses himself/herself in a role, try looking for Harlan Ellison's short story 'All the Sounds of Fear.' Some actors, he suggests, disappear inside their characters because they don't themselves really exist. Thanks, Lee. Keep fighting.
